be still.

be still before the Lord and wait patiently on Him. this verse is found in the 37th chapter of Psalms and has recently become one of my favorites. i really think it can relate to any of us going through life. for me personally, it has very strong meaning. this requires a constant surrender of my thoughts, actions, and words. on days when the crazy world around me is getting the best of me, the Lord draws me back to this verse and reminds me that He is in control. what peace our Father offers us in this verse.
i chose this photo because i really think it captures the meaning of the phrase 'be still'.
it looks as though my sister (morgan) could lay here forever. she is so content in being still for this moment. this is just how the Lord wants us sometimes. He wants us to be able to lay in his presence and be still. in quietness and rest, i find my peace. He knows that if we will just sit or lay at His feet, we will be renewed, we will find peace. unexplainable peace.
